Disabilities can take away a lot of opportunities for adventure. From hiking, to camping, all the way to offroad motorsports. That's why we wanted to innovate an affordable and accessible option to bring back the ability to explore the extreme outdoors.
Zack from Not a Wheelchair teamed up with us to bring this idea to life. First with the standard single motor RIG which is great for lighter offroad terrain, and now we are going even farther with the BIG RIG!
The BIG RIG will take you through any offroad terrain. Shred through mud, snow, gravel, and sand all while being secured safely in your seat. The accessible design allows for any rider to handle this vehicle, and provides explorers without full mobility of their legs to get out and hit the trails like never before.
4 Wheels, 4 Motors
To achieve 4 wheel drive on the RIG we went for a multiple integrated motor set up. In each 20x4 inch wheel there is a 1000 watt hub motor, giving this quad a combined 4000 watt power output to get you through any obstacle. Each motor is controlled and synced together with a center hub underneath your seat, ensuring that each wheel and motor works together seamlessly.
With these motors the BIG RIG has a top speed of 12.5 mph And with 2 full batteries coming stock on your RIG you will be getting an estimated 20-30 miles per charge.
And as an added bonus the BIG RIG comes stock with all 4 wheels protected with Tannus Tire Armour. So that you should never have to replace a tube!
Built to Hit the Road Less Traveled
To top it all off to make your BIG RIG the best offroad wheelchair around we have decked it out with full suspension on every wheel! When you're hitting the dirt paths and rocky trails full suspension is going to make your rides smooth and comfortable, minimizing bumps and bruises. These coil shocks are easily tunable air shocks for any rider. And can be swapped out with a variety of coil shocks for different rider weights.
Customization
Being built in house we have the ability to do a ton of custom upgrades on your Not a Wheelchair. Upgrades range from a wide array of custom colors, different types of tires, footplates, battery options, and tons of other accessories to enhance your ride.
Tires
Tires For a variety of uses we have 2 different styles of tires you can choose for your quad. Its best to keep in mind that tire choice is important for what type of riding you're doing.
Knobby Tires
Knobby tires are obviously the best for offroad riding and bumpy terrain. They provide the perfect amount of traction to get you around all terrain. One downside of fat tires is that on asphalt and cement the tread on your tires will get run down faster than a street tire. So if you're using your Not a Wheel Chair for primarily road riding you may want to consider the Street tires.
Street Tires
These tires as the title suggests are perfect for taking on the pavement and cement of the streets. With tread that is focused on speed over off-road traction your quad will be more optimized for the road riding you will be doing, while also wearing down slower than if you were to drive with knobby tires on the asphalt.
Batteries
For a fully electric vehicle your choice of batteries is important. Depending on how long of rides you plan to go on and the terrain you will be tackling an extra battery may be necessary. We offer a tons of options for battery configurations and that is anything from 2 standard battery setup all the way to a 6 battery set up.
