"At 89 I need the stability of a trike. It doesn't exact pain in my neck, back, shoulders and, well, everywhere I touch the bike. I have to work hard, same as if I were on a road bike, so I'm getting the amount of conditioning I need. I usually ride in ECO mode, but, confronted with long or steep hills I can use the extra help of higher settings.
In bad weather I set the rear wheel on a set of rollers and watch TV while getting my exercise. Much less fuss with a trike than with a bike.
In the last five years I've had a 2X bypass, had a pacemaker installed and, now, a battle with stage four prostate cancer. I still ride my Expedition. It helps me get well. and also . . . .
It's fun!”
