Why Mary Rides the RIG

"The Rig" allows me to trek where I used to be able to hike... I photograph as a hobby now; wildlife and nature in general most pursued... thank you, Utah Trikes! We have added a few customizations to serve my specific needs. To, along the way, many people have commented about the cool mobility-aid, The Rig, taking pictures as well as myriad questions for their follow-up's with Utah Trikes.

One of the cool things Mary has done with her NotAWheelchair RIG is that she uses it as a tool for her outdoor photography.

These photos feature a Barred Owl and it's juvenile found in Lakeland, FL. Mary said that she heard it before she saw it , “and about 15 minutes of looking through a heavy cypress canopy/treed area... spotted and then could photo with an 800mm lens”

A few photo’s Mary took a few weeks while she was adventuring on her RIG.

Mary has made a few customizations to the RIG! She recently replaced the seat so she could have more support. Her Husband replaced the foot plates with a solid diamond-plate "brush-guard". This helps her when adventuring in places with tall grasses. Mary and her husband also added a trunk where she could store photography equipment while riding.

Mary was truly a pleasure to work with! Learning about what she has done with her RIG and the art she’s been able to capture while riding has been a treat!

You can keep up with Mary and her photography adventures on her Facebook pages Mertz Davis and Banayan Ranch Studios.
